Come In, Take A Seat
"Come in, take a seat" blurs the lines between dance and day-to-day life. Through performance, it collapses distinctions between the extraordinary and the mundane. The rehearsal process began as an exploration of mental presence, and quickly moved into the context of a living room, a couch and friends hanging out. The piece is set in a familiar environment that everyone can relate to; alluring the audience into the recognizable atmosphere existing on stage, while simultaneously traversing into unexplored territory. By observing the action of fidgeting on a spectrum, and exploding these idiosyncrasies into full bodied movement, one's ability to do 'nothing' at full speed is conspicuous. Normal, everyday gestures become twisted, transforming the room into a world of completely nonsensical sense. Energetic power paired with nonchalance and pop punk music make for an upbeat, playfully absurd performance.

Three By Three
Nine performers come together under the direction of three creators to honor Bob Fosse's choreography in a three-section performance entitled "Three By Three". Featuring excerpts of "Rich Man's Frug" from Sweet Charity, "Money" from Cabaret, and "Hot Honey Rag/Finale" from Chicago, these original Fosse classics are interpreted with a modern flair. Encompassing everything from the upper crust atmosphere of a New York style club, to the raunchy, grotesque spectacle made by the Emcee and his four women, and a grand finale highlighting flashy 20's style choreography. Sophisticated silhouettes, confetti, a shimmer curtain and live singing are all presented within this short seven and a half minutes of theatricality. The audience is left feeling energized, and enthusiastic after this hot, show stopping performance.
